I honestly have to say this is one of the best free games i have ever played, its entrapping, The story telling and attention to detail on its own made me shed tears, the true emotion and writing into the characters and their lines and body language was so amazing- this game is worth so much more than its listed as, its worth every penny anyone is able to donate and more; 10/10, and although I finished it rather quickly[2hrs], To put it plain I could play it again right away- its even inspired me to try and get over my recent 6 month art block, thank you dearly readers, writers, and story tellers. -maggot
I came across this game while downloading the newest update for ClanGen and decided to go in completely blind- I ENJOYED IT SO MUCH. The art style is beautiful and fits the atmosphere of the game perfectly. All the character designs were great and all the representation was nice to see. :]
This was by far the cutest queer western game I have ever seen.
The characters are relatable and cute and the art style is BEAUTIFUL. The story has depth, the atmosphere is well-made, the music isn't annoying, and it's overall perfect.
There is also an outstanding representation of minorities here. I also like that this is playable on browser, as I can't download it due to my kind of computer.
I played about half way through the game or so with my boyfriend. This game is really good. I love dating sims or visual novels but a lot of them leave me feeling weird or unsatisfied. I have not even finished this one, and it makes me feel so good and warm. SO good in fact, I had to buy the gold edition. I paid $5 more for it because honestly the devs of this deserve to receive love and success for the work of ART they produced. Thank you to the devs for putting this together. And, to anyone reading this comment, this game is good.

This game made me have so much more confidence and I cannot express how lovely of a story it was. Please understand my enthusiasm when I heard our protagonist go "I call myself a man". Such a simple sentence, with the most impactful placement. I've yet to dispel that moment from my mind. As someone whom trans, this game brings complete joy to my heart. The dialogue is well written with witty choices of annunciation to what really brings the core message together. Each and every townsperson (and future ones) of Clemency was loveable down to the bone. Please take my words with full recognition to how you all have made such a wonderful game. Did i just stay up until five in the morning to play the cutest game ever?? HELL YES I DID! ok i loved the appreciation for the quaker religion because awhile back i did a ton of research on them because it was super interesting especially since not a lot of people know about them but they had such a big impact on early america and also how culturally accepting they were compared to literally everyone else at the time so i loved this little piece of rep i got to see for them despite me personally being atheist i hope this sort of mindset of the quakers can become more mainstream because its honestly so refreshing. sorry this is just my stream of consciousness as i said its 5 am and im just all hopped up on that gay cowboy brainrot so yeah. anyways this is so good, please make more games??? or else????
Every single time I replay this game my silly gay mind always initially interprets the hardness of Joseph's clothes to something else...
And I don't know why, but Robin's sprite of him pulling out a gun is so adorable for literally no reason. But then again, I gushed over every single scene when Robin and Joseph were on the screen at the same time.
This game!I love the writing, Love the art and I love the everything else!!! I genuinely enjoyed this game and the characters,I was literally at the edge of my seat during that scene with Curly.
this game is adorable and i stayed up til' 3am playing it a couple days back but fell asleep in my chair like 2 minutes after I finished it while thinking about the ending and forgot to review it

such a great game, with lovable characters, relationships, a beautiful art style, and a great climax and emotional resolution. the way the two main characters met and slowly became closer and closer throughout the story was lovely, and I just clicked on it cuz it looked cool without reading any comments, and about when the second interview-thingy with the turtle was over and they were about to start playing cards, i called it that these two were boutta' be in love. adorable, 11/10.
You know that aching feeling that you get when you finish playing a video game? That feeling has never been stronger since the first time I've played Spiritfarer.
Everything about this visual novel works. The soundtrack, the actual story, the characters, and particularly the art design.
I really don't know what to say about the art design--it's just that good. Unlike other visual novels I've read, this one stands out in particular since the very stylized characters blend perfectly into the background. Every single character has their own unique personality--other than the generic gang members of course--and all of their designs are worth simping over. I'm truly at a loss for words: I was fully enraptured in the story. Like any other good game, my only complaint would be that it is too short. But then again, anything is too short when it gives you the time of your life. The only real nitpick I have would be the character sprites having no feet when sliding in or out of frame (unless if that was on purpose--which I would respect lol.)
I'd love for there to be a sequel or spin-off series starring the characters in this story. All that there is to do now is to buy the gold edition and to do what anyone who's invested in a piece of media does--draw fanart.
If I could compare this game to something, I would compare it to Brokeback Mountain without the tragic gays trope and just better overall although I'm particularly biased towards Lookouts since, well, gay furry cowboys being fluffy and adorable. Need I say more? Play it!!
