I'm not a furry, but- lil jokes aside, this was such a wholesome experience. Honestly blown away by the writing on this, and the artstyle is incredibly adorable, the soundtrack may be simple but it's very much effective. congrats to the team for making such a cute gay experience, it was amazing.
This is an incredible game. I have such a soft spot for this kind of stuff and I'm so giddy and happy that I played it! 10/10, I don't know how it would be expanded, but I think I need it in my life.

The ending doesn't actually change based on your choices but it does change how the fight goes! There's 4 different routes for the fight, all of which vary hugely from each other and have unique artworks! As someone who refuses to go back to play the bad end routes in games myself, I can say it's very safe to check out the alt fights!!

honestly one of the best games I have ever played it made me feel an emotion I’ve never really felt before the characters where amazing and the soundtrack is amazingly beautiful and the art is probably one of my favourite styles I’ve ever seen before if you love trans-masc gay cowboys then I 100% recommend this it’s honestly a masterpiece and it’s so good I can’t even rate it if I was able to get PayPal I would immediately buy the gold version haha

I went to rate the game and realized that I had rated it for the original jam edition already! It's a 5/5 for me, not only because I am a sucker for gay cowboys, though I must admit that is a factor. I love the game that the team has made here and really enjoyed my stay in Clemency. It's hard to quantify exactly what makes me so enamored with the game, but I think it comes down to the level of earnestness in its construction. There is a spark of vulnerability at the core of Lookouts, that shines through and resonates. Perhaps it is a shared feeling of being queer in a harsh world, forced to become the person that can survive, but not the person you want to be. I was gripped by the writing and ended up playing the whole game in a single session because I wanted to see how it all played out so desperately. The story makes excellent use of the characters as animals in the plot and I never felt like they were just humans that just so happened to be furries. There are some amazing lines of dialogue that had me tearing up and I always appreciate when a story can do that for me. The character designs are of course, top notch, and the visual style immediately draws the player into the world. It's very distinct and conveys just enough detail. The heavy use of black allows the player to fill in the gaps with their own imagination and helps the characters *pop* in the foreground. The music is decidedly western, but in a weirdly nostalgic way for me. Like if I tried to remember hard enough it wouldn't be out of place in a spaghetti western from movie marathons on Sundays with my Dad. Those are fond memories and that the music can evoke that in me is a testament to how well it fits the game. The trans masc representation is wonderful and both Robin and Joseph are such fun characters to hear banter back and forth. The message that queer life is often messy and complicated, with no real idea of where we might be going next, but I want to experience it with you is so damn poignant. That you can fight like hell for that little slice of heaven and live your life, truthfully as you are. Free from your past and hoping for the future. And maybe, if you're lucky, you can grant a little clemency to those whom you meet on the trail.

Decided to check out this game after seeing a friend mention it, and was not dissapointed! I was real tired after staying up late by the time I opened up the game but I couldn't take my eyes off the screen once I started. I love the art of this game so much, and the writing makes it that much better. All today I could not stop thinking about this game, in such a short time I became so hooked to these characters and this story, and I just wish there was more! Loved all the characters and wish there were loads more games like this!!
I've played this from 10pm to 4am straight. Col, Hawky, Jamie, this really beautiful.I really felt like there was a spear through my heart in certain parts. Loved the character's personalities, the art, THE ART!!! (col ur on all my devices backgrounds), the music was quite fitting, the absence of it to accentuate certain parts worked really well. As a package, I feel it was tight, the effort put where it needed to be put to elevate the game. But above all, man this has so much love put into it, its really beautiful, it has made a connection in me. Keep doing beautiful things <33333

Do yourself a favour and find time to play this and to tell everyone you know to do the same. I cannot overstate how brilliant this game is and how often it left me on the verge of tears - it's made with love and care and just? it's so amazingly well-written? the soundtrack and design fits nicely? There's no fault I can find with this game it's so good!!!

Do you get that feeling, after watching/playing a piece of media, where you know, you'll never find anything as good as what you just saw? I know full well how it feels like now, I know that I'm a reviewer, I have to find something bad to dirt on for this review to be complete, but I just can't find it, the representation is phenomenal, its not over the top and the characters are actually fleshed out so that their one personality trait isn't just being queer, you know, but still adds in that aspect. There's not much more I can say, its cute and perfect.
No other fight scene in a game, especially a visual novel, had actually sunken my heart and made adrenaline pumped, yet here is evidence it's possible, you wrote the fight scene incredibly well, and you made me genuinely hate the villain of the story, no redeeming factors showed, another thing I thought entirely impossible, I wish there was a possibility of an 11/10 but that's not a proper fraction, so it is a perfect 10/10 still.
The ending is perfect, I don't know how to describe it in words, but with every thought, the main character was having, I was feeling what he must've felt, it was like I was 'truly' playing as the main character. No ending of a game (except for one but we don't talk about Soma) has made me cry and reflect, look back at it, days after playing. when do i get a bird bf

Honestly was the best western love story I've seen despite being so short. As a transgay from the south it hit home in a way I didn't expect going in, the art and music as well just pulled it together. Will defiantly recommend to friends and look forward to any future works!
Really nice work. I appreciate short stories that suggest a larger history but leave it to the reader's imagination. For such a limited time-frame, I think you chose the right places to have full illustrations.
As a transgay cowboy (more of a southerner, but I like to think of myself as one), this game is great. I love the art and the music. The colors were so gosh darn pretty!! And I just love the game overall. Will definitely play again
